Wedding Portraits - Top 19 of 2019 // Portland, Oregon Wedding Photographer - Alfred Tang

Wedding portraits have always been my favorite types of photography sessions to shoot. For my own selfish reasons, it’s a time to be creative and have fun with story-telling - encompassing the setting of the wedding, capturing the intimacy and connection between two people and even a bit of carefree adventuring as the most stressful part of the day is typically behind us. For the newlyweds, these portrait sessions is a small session in their jam packed day to have with themselves. It’s a brief moment to come back to the place that brought them here to their wedding day. Without these two people and their intimate connection, there is no love story to tell.

2019 was a great year of wedding portraits as my work continues to evolve. As a student of light, I’m constantly looking to find new ways to play with it and add some emphasis to the romantic moments happening in front of the camera. I will continue this in 2020 and look forward to bringing more interesting compositions and romance to my couple’s wedding portraits.

One thing still remains the same, the results of the portrait sessions come out natural, candid and full of emotion with a wedding day story to tell. My approach has always been to give minimal direction and capture whatever emotions happen with those timeframe.
