Sometimes I get asked what my favorite part of the wedding day is and whether I prefer to photograph one part over the other. While I love all parts of a wedding day to experience and document, each wedding is unique and has a different story from one another. One thing I believe to be consistent is photographing the getting ready and prep details. Many months of planning and preparation are coming together, the soon-to-be-newly-weds are going through a range of emotions (or can be just totally calm & chill) and during this time I’m getting to know the people who have influenced the two lovebirds story. Like a chef inspecting the ingredients in a kitchen before putting it all together, as a wedding photographer I’m able to observe these ingredients (details), appreciate the work and skill it took craft them. In conjunction with the wedding venue and it’s setting, I piece them together to document them as a small part of the wedding day story.

This is the first time I’ve done a collection of my favorite wedding images and wish I had the time to go back to previous years (the whole 3 years I’ve been in business). Maybe I’ll do a ‘Top 20 images of the Past Decade’ 😜one day. But for now this will have to do since I rarely showcase any other wedding images that aren’t portraits unless it’s on the blog.
