Pioneer Square Lofts Wedding - Seattle // Jackie & Nick
A marriage is the result of a love story where significant events and exceptional elements fall into place, building and bonding upon each other as two passions come together to make an ultimate commitment.
You could imagine how excited I was to find out that I would be documenting the wedding of award-winning food blogger Jackie Dodd of Beeroness. I’d be lying if I told you that I didn’t go into this a bit nervous. Shooting for another photographer has always been nerve-wrecking. Throw in the beautiful space that is the loft at Pioneer Square in Seattle, and you’ve got yourself a whole new playing field! A challenge that I openly welcomed.
As the wedding day played out, I realized how much deeper Jackie & Nick’s love story was. Two individuals who had separate successful lives with children of their own, fighting through ups and down in their relationship and one last chance at love - and they made it work. It wasn’t fate, but rather how they reacted when fate brought them together.
One of my favorite elements about Jackie & Nick’s wedding was their multi-course meal they had planned out for their guests. Each plate had a story behind it - whether it was from their travels or it was a “landmark” that carried great significance in their love story, Nick would present the story as each course was served.
Take a moment to look through their wedding day and feel what they and their guests felt as the day went on. I’m sorry that I don’t have the technology for you to smell and taste the food they had on their wedding day, but Jackie has a cook book coming out in October! Cooking with beer it just like cooking with wine (possibly even better!). My favorites so far is the lettuce-wrapped flank stank with IPA chimichuri sauce and just in time for the new season of Game of Thornes, some stout smoked ribs are in order!
Go ahead, crack open a craft beer and look through this intimate and beautiful put together wedding. Let me know what you think in the comment section below!
