North Star Ballroom-Portland Intimate Spring Wedding // Wendy & Josh

Prior to joining Wendy & Josh on their wedding day, I had only met them for about half an hour during our wedding photography consultation (where they decided to book me on the spot 😍). Ideally, I like to get to know my clients and understand them more as a couple -what makes them giggly with each other, how they show affection, etc. This usually happens during a connection (engagement) session. Wendy & Josh choose not to add that to their photography package and that's absolutely okay with me. I knew that when I met them in person, with their laid back attitude and loving gazes at each other, capturing their intimate connections would be effortless and a pleasure.

Wendy & Josh expressed to me that their wedding day was not going to be traditional in a sense where the attention would be centered around them. There would not be a procession down an aisle, no dancing, no bouquet toss -rather, just good ol' fashion celebration with loved ones. They really took the time to go around and spend quality time with family & friends. It truly was humbling and beautiful to witness.

So you know what that meant? Plenty of time for my favorite thing to do during wedding days: capturing beautiful moments and intimate connections between Wendy & Josh! Shooting bride & groom portraitures is my jam. With these two, it was such a pleasure that I could have gone on all day. But that would be selfish of me for taking so much time away from family and friends.

Please enjoy the images below of the beautiful and handsome human souls I was so grateful and privileged to shoot with. Thank you so much, Wendy & Josh for sharing your special day with me. May your marriage be blessed with all the love in the world!
